Extensions can be used for volume, length, texture, color, and more. Everyone’s needs are different so the pricing can vary greatly. All hair used is 100% human hair.

Finding quality curly extensions can be a challenge and the search for the best curly extensions continues. It is possible, but not for every single curly girl. Every head of hair is different and can handle things differently. Some have no problems putting their hair up daily. Others may need to avoid certain styles because of the tension created while in those styles. There is no way to know until your consultation and if any issues arise after your first appointment.

Hopefully! Truthfully, it's not always a perfect match for the first install. Sometimes we need to adjust our original game plan to find the perfect match for your hair. We ask that you trust that your scalp and hair health is our first priority. If something that we thought would work is not working, adjustments will need to be made to protect your scalp and hair.
Everything You Need to Know

- Oil hair at least 1x a day.
- No sulfates in any hair products.
- Do not sleep with hair wet or damp.
- Do not put hair up while wet.
- Scrunchies and invisibobbles are the best at securing hair.
- Use a leave-in conditioner to maintain the quality of the hair.
- The less heat on the extensions the better they will feel for longer.
- Hair masks 1x a week or every other wash are recommended.
- Dry shampoo should be used in moderation and not touch the connection points of the extensions. This will cause slipping from built-up dry shampoo. Dry shampoo on the hair strand can also cause extreme dryness and lead to breaking over time.
- Claw clips CAN be used, but must not be clipped into the extension row. They should secure to just the hair in the clip and rest on top of the row.
- Braid or low ponytail before sleeping.
- Hair should be secured up or out of face before workouts. High ponytails and high-intensity workouts are not a great combination.
- Braid or low ponytail while swimming. Hair should not be left down while swimming.
- Brushing should be done daily with an extension approved hairbrush. Wetbrush or Sheila Stottz have some great brush options.
- Heat protectant should be used before each step. If using a blowdryer, a leave-in conditioner with heat protection is a great option. When using an iron, a second heat protectant such as an aerosol should be used.
- Hand tied wefts should be blow-dried after washing. If they remain wet for prolonged periods of time the wefts can swell and cause damage to the extension hair.
- Sleeping with a silk bonnet or pillow case is encouraged.
- Products containing proteins such as many products in the line Olaplex should not be used on extension hair as the hair does not need extra protein and this ingredient will have the reverse effect that it is supposed to.
- Your stylist cannot guarantee the life of your hair if products have been used on the hair that were not recommended by your stylist.

For Curly Hair
- Curly extensions should be brushed at least once a day as normal.
- The extensions can be refreshed using water after brushing to reactivate the curl.
- You will need even more moisture than those wearing straight extensions. The Goldie Locks ultra moisturizing mask added into your routine is highly encouraged as well as the leave-in conditioning spray from Goldie Locks.
- You will need to use more serum/oil than those wearing straight extensions. If the hair still feels dry, add more oil. Our recommended serum is the Goldie Locks signature serum.
- Wearing a bonnet to sleep and or using a silk pillowcase is very strongly recommended for those wearing curly extensions.

For Blondes
- No sunscreen with avobenzone. This will turn extensions a salmon color.
- No tinted oils. Clear only. This can cause the hair to become tinted yellow
- Steer clear of most purple shampoos. My only purple shampoo recommendation is Goldlielocks as it was made for extensions.
